This tour covers the best of wetland birds, the thick evergreen rainforests of the Dehing Patkai National Park and the foothills of the Patkai range. We cover swampy grasslands, woodland forests, montane and deciduous forests and bamboo thickets.

Day 1.: Arrival at Dibrugarh airport and transfer to Digboi. Depending on arrival trime we will go straight to the DPNP and do birding at Saraipung range of the Park. In the evening we check into the Namdang House at Digboi. Night stay at Digboi.

Day 2.: This will be our full day birding at Soraipung range of the Park. Today we will look for the Gray Peacock Pheasant, the White Winged Wood Duck, the Large Scimitar Babbler, the White Cheeked Partridge, the Rufous Vented Laughing Thrush, the Chestnut backed Laughing Thrush, the Streaked Wren Babbler, White Browed Scimitar Babbler , the Long Tailed Broadbill, the Silver Breasted Broadbill and so many birds that this birders paradise has to offer. If the Forest Department gives permission we can do night owling outside the Park premises for the Oriental Bay Owl and the Spot Bellied Eagle Owl. Night Stay at Namdang House in Digboi.

Day 3.: We checkout from the Namdang House early morning and do the morning session birding at Saraipung range of the Park. After lunch, we leave DPNP and drive to Namdapha National Park in Arunachal and check into the Deban Forest guest house inside the park. Night stay at Deban Forest Guest House.

Day 4.: This will be a full day birding at Namdapha National Park. Today we will search for the Golden Crested Myna, the White Tailed Flycatcher, the very shy and sulking Snowy Throated Babbler, the Brown/Wreathed/Rufous Necked Hornbills, the very elusive and difficult White Bellied Heron, the Hill Prinia, the Collared Treepie, Parrotbills and others. We shall also try for the Blyth’s Kingfisher and the Spotted Forktail near the forest streams of Namdapha. Night stay at Deban Forest Guest House.

Day 5.: This will be a full day birding at Namdapha National Park. Night stay at Deban Forest Guest House.

Day 6: We do our morning birding session at Namdapha National park and after lunch we leave the camp. By Evening transfer to Tinsukia and night stay at Maguri Eco Camp at Tinsukia. If time permits we will do owling around the Maguri Eco Camp.

Day 7: Early morning we will do the Maguribeel and the Grassland. Here we will look out for the Marsh Babbler, the Swamp Grass Babbler/Prinia, the Chestnut capped Babbler, the Falcated Duck, Swamp Francolin, Blue Breasted Quail, Black Breasted Parrotbill, the Jerdons Babbler, Baikal Bush Warbler and so many other grassland/swamp birds. The afternoon we will be doing the Bherjan Reserved Forest searching for the Lesser Shortwing, the Rusty Bellied Shortwing, the Pygmy Cupwing, Pin Striped Tit Babbler etc. In the evening we will spend around the Maguri Beel checking out the different waterfowls. If we are lucky we may sight the Tundra Bean Goose or the Baikal Teal around the lake edges. Late evening we shall do some owling around the camp searching for the Collared Scops Owl, the Brown Boobock, Oriental Scops Owl etc. We can also drive down to Talap for a sighting of the Eastern Grass Owl. Night stay at Maguri Eco Camp. .

Day 8.: This is the final day of the tour. Depending on departure times, we shall do the Maguri Grasslands for any left over species from the previous day. After the morning session and breakfast at the Camp, we shall leave for Dibrugarh airport depending on flight departure timings. Drop at Airport and Tour ends.
